    The installation is counterfeit.
There is evidence of an Activation exploit being installed in an attempt to circumvent Activation and Validation requirements.
The machine appears to have shipped with Windows Vista installed - there should be a COA sticker for that on the case.

I'm lost.. Did you mean by that, this laptop is windows vista??
This laptop is 10 years old... It's awesome but recently I'm not being able to download some programs because of the SP1..
What should I do in that case? Is there any other solution??

I looked at my laptop bottom and found the COA sticker. Yes it says windows vista home premium etc..But I have windows 7 at the moment.. It's confusing thing. So I should download SP1 with version vista or win7..

The upgrade to Windows 7 was done by illegal means.
To get your system legal, you'd need to either:

    1) reformat and reinstall Windows Vista and update it to SP2 and beyond
    or
    2) purchase a legal copy of Windows 7 (I don't believe this to be cost-effective in your situation, as the new license would immediately be locked to the machine, and not available for use in any replacement machine)
