    Hi Woo,
    from the report
    tiedostojärjestelmän asemaohjain

UM cant read Finnish, how remiss of me

Its a plug and play device of some description, maybe related to the MS wireless keyboard and mouse you have installed.
I also see that driver booster was updating it not a good move on MS products

If you could either remove/update the driver and from devices, it may let you update to SP1.

Did you get the download OK.

as you were having a lot of trouble with the drivers for your keyboard/mouse suggest you download the latest from MS onto a usb.

I'm just confused with the whole driver thing. Yes, I've had some issues with installing usb devices drivers & such, but I think that now they work just fine and idk how it would affect the sp1 install if I reinstalled all my working usb -devices drivers...? I don't know if I'm just too stupid or too sceptical.

I guess if I knew what I was doing maybe I would have already solved this issue.

What do you mean that it should auto activate...? How legit is it if I don't need my product key?

    Hi Outoffit,
FYI SP1 will have more, but possibly not completely up to date drivers, i only mentioned it because THEY were the ones causing you NOT to be able to update.

As for the legitamcy of your system.
You have an OEM system, and the download i provided you with was for that version.
They (OEM's) activate via a SLIC table placed on your BIOS motherboard when it was manufactured.
if you look at the report i asked you to run you will see entries for
OEM, Bios valid and a SLIC table.

Even if it does not activate, i do expect it too, you still have your COA key:)

Okay, you have been a big help, thank you.

So, do I need to install the driver you mentioned to succesfully update to sp1?
It's not listed anywhere in the device manager, so I guess I do need to install it first then. From where could I do that?

And the other option for me is to do a repair install from the OEM Windows 7 file you provided, right? If the first one doesn't work.

I'm just asking to be sure that I understand.

    Hi Outoffit,

The link i posted INCLUDES SP1

so the choice is yours try either, repair/clean install.
My own preference would be a clean install REMEMBER to copy your private data to an external device.

I mentioned earlier get the drivers from MS,(dont use Driver booster to get them).
Type in the model no: it should be on the keyboard.
(for a clean install copy them to an external device BEFOREHAND.)

Ok, so I have a laptop and there's no results from microsoft with my laptop model. There's some results from asus site with drivers that can be updated but I have no idea which is the one you are talking about.

So I guess I'll have to just repair/clean install.
