"This copy of Windows is not genuine" on Windows 7 Home ed.

Hello and Thanks for any help provided.

I recently removed Norton Antivirus from my laptop when I received the "not genuine" message appearing on my desktop. I used the standard Control Panel method of removal. When logging back in the computer, I was given prompts to re-enter my product key. The key is pasted to the bottom of the computer, and it was purchased from Best Buy back in 2012. I did that and received the following error code: 0x8007000D

    Code:

    Hi Herky,
    please run
    the Norton AV uninstaller
    in SAFE MODE please.
Uninstall and Reinstall Norton product using the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool

(it removes items from the registry that i think are corrupting WAT.

    Torchwood,

That did the trick. Showing Genuine Windows icon in the Control Panel, Systems tab. Thanks so much, and give my regards to Captain Harkness! Wish that show was still on, but hey, Doctor Who Season 10 is about to begin.
