Windows Uppdate error 800B0001, can't run any troubleshoot tool

    Hello.
I'm having this issue with Windows Update where I can't update, presenting error 800B0001.
After downloading System Readiness Tool it prompts this error: "error 0x800b0001 unknown trust provider" and won't install.

I followed many other guides that said to try "sfc /scannow", I ran it yesterday and it found a file it could not repair and is shows up in the CBS.log file. The thing is I don't know how to read it
I hope you can help me solve this issue.

Thanks in advance, here's the CBS.log
Edit: attached the cbs log in the proper rar file.

All basically relate to Internet Explorer - have you had a virus infection or malware infestation?

Since this appears to be a Spanish install, it may take me some time to source the files needed for repair.

If you haven't heard from me by Monday - SHOUT!

    Hi, thanks for the response.
I constantly run Spybot S&D 2.4 for malware cleanup and keep active ESET nod32 9.

A couple months or so PC started acting up (ghost processes, hanging on "Shutting down" screen, etc.).
Ran antivirus, no threats. Anti-malware found the usual taskbar addons, pop-ups, etc.
It is in fact English based system with a MUI for Spanish on top.

If you're running Home Premium with a MUI Language pack installed, then you're in breach of the licensing rules!

As such, forum rules won't allow me to assist - and your problem may well be solved by uninstalling the MUI pack.

Ok, that's a place to start. I'll uninstall the MUI. Do I need to update the cbs log file after?

Yes please - it may show some differences (and make it easier to fix!)

Sorry it took me so long to respond. I managed to solve the issue by using the Tweaking - Windows Repair Tool.

It's not my ideal way of solving the issue since it solves it without telling what was wrong in the first place.

Thank you NoelDP for your time and knowledge.

That tool in general works well - but also leaves the system wide-open to attackers, since (when I last looked) it removes many of the permissions restrictions on a lot of system files.

At least you have an apparently fully-functional system again!
