Microsoft website won't validate Win7 Key. How can I get the ISO?
I bought Windows 7 from Digital River back in 2010. I saved the key and had a DVD with the ISO burned on it, but lost the DVD in a move.
I now want to do a clean install on my computer as it's accumulated a lot of cruft. When entering my cd key into https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...nload/windows7, it reports that there is an error with it.
I don't have access to the digital river account and don't have access to the email address I probably used with it.
Is there an official way to download it from Microsoft without having to resort to third party sites? Especially with the recent ransomware attacks, I'm really wary.
