Lot's of Office 2007 Security Update etc.

Hey guys...I use Office 2007, and been getting some weird Popups about Licensing I think. Seems they have changed the way they are keeping track of Office 2007 or something?

I am also wondering why they are pushing the Office 2010 Updates to me? Is it because support for 2007 is ending as I think I've read? But still, why the Office 2010, are they preparing to sabotage me LOL. So I wanted to post the pics of what I'm seeing, but did not get the (what I thought was licensing popups).

I think this has something to do with the Popup I received "Microsoft Office File Validation Add-in" that you will see in the first pic.

    Thanks as always, Nasty

Sometimes later versions of a program such as Office have Updates that rectify a problem in an earlier version, so they include the later Update for an earlier version. It's nothing to get alarmed about & you should continue to keep office right up to date.

The "Microsoft Office File Validation Add-in" is also an update to check on whether your version of Office is valid & it certainly seems that it is. MS does regular checks of MS programs to checks that they are valid.

    Hi,
I have not seen either of the 2 updates you show on my 2007 office.
These are the last 4 I got

Thanks guys. I don't know what to make of it, although, this is a fairly new install...along with Office 2007 on this computer for the first time with this license, hmm. I'll accept the Office 2010 Updates also due to the advice you have provided.
