    Hi Hoselo,

Sorry mate no pictures in your post.

can you run, from an elevated command mode,

    sfc /scannow.

Also the SURT log would be handy
    Its in C >> Windows > logs > CBS .... SURT

    Hi Hostello,

The update thats causing the problem is over a year old.

Have you been able to install a >>Cumulative<< update dated later than May >>2016<<

When did you install the OS.

    Hi Torch,

    Thanks for the quick replies.

Im surprised its that old. I always update when there are updates available.

This OS has been installed for a few years and I always update so im sure I have updates installed after 2016.
After I used SURT it did get a little weirder, some apps telling me I need Net Framework installed (Like Corel)

I even downloaded dotNetFx45_Full_setup manually to try and install since Corel Draw after SURT wont open and that installation failed too.

    Weirdness.

    Hi Hostello,

As its only been partially installed im not sure if just uninstalling it will work

we could try, its KB3125574 by the way, note if its successfull it will not be re-offered its been superceeded.

Have a read of this tutorial

    Try METHOD II

Windows Update - Uninstall from Console Level - Windows 7 Help Forums

once rebooted rerun SURT, post the log.

In a way the update is like a Service Pack, it affects multiple system files, so im not suprised it causing other issues, AND it had numerous problems.

    Hi Hostello,

As you said its a bust, I do not have the resources to pull all the missing data.
Please try the Sysnative forum, they have a great deal more data and resources to call upon,
note they do tend to be rather busy.

They will require the SURT log and the report from thier own tool
    http://www.sysnative.com/niemiro/apps/SFCFix.exe
