I have always been able to boot the computer , but cannot connect to network . When I use troubleshooting I get the BSOD . The updates are gone as I was able to restore to Jan. 7 - 2 days before the trouble started . I really appreciate your help . How would you proceed ?

Wild . My wife remembered years ago when we had trouble with not being able to connect to internet network , that on occasion we were advised to do a - i guess what would be called a hard boot , meaning we would unplug the PC , let it sit for a while , plug it in again , and all would be OK . She suggested we try that . I said , what the heck nothing to lose . It worked . We're re-connected to the net and so far no BSOD . Don't have a clue why this would work but it did .
