    windows 7 64-bit update problem


    Hello members, pls I need help my windows,I have to update windows 7 service pack 1 and Service pack 1 for microsoft 32-bit,but anytime I tried to update I get error,I have tried soo many times days months but yet still I cannot update it.The error code and screen shot is attached.
    Please I need help with this,because I cannot install python ,any time I tried to install python,it I get error and the error is to update windows 7 service pack 1


    Please help me out.

    Linux Mint 18.2 xfce 64-bit (VMWare host) / Windows 8.1 Pro 32-bit (VMWare guest)

    Go to your C:\Windows folder and rename the SoftwareDistribution folder to something else.

    For example: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistOld.

    Now reboot, and try again to do a Windows update.

    By renaming the Software Distribution folder, Windows won't be able to find it; and it will have to start over from scratch with Windows updates.

    Sometimes this trick works, sometimes it doesn't. It worked for me.
