Updates

Hi to all,
update KB 2984976, whatever I do it will not install, disable anti virus, firewall everything. Is it vital, do I need it, how to remove constant reminders?
Thanks

Hi ludlowboy,

That update is from October 2014.

Here is the Microsoft description that relates to KB2984976.
It says it is a RDP 8.0 update for the restricted administration on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/...7-or-windows-s

Why do you think that you need to download it now?

What problems are you having?

The official link to actually download it from Microsoft is here:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/downl....aspx?id=44359

I hope this helps!

Thanks Paul,
That's all I wanted to know, I don't need it. If it was 2014 I've managed very well without it!
Thanks for a prompt reply

MSE updates flagged in Win 7 updates but not XP Mode updates
I find it odd that when I do a Windows Update in Windows 7, the Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) updates are also found. But if I do a Windows Update in XP Mode, the MSE updates are not found. I don't suppose this is controllable? I'd like the Windows Update to find MSE updates.
