Awesome Efdy, you're becoming an IT Pro! We're down to one manifest error!
Control Panel, uninstall program, click on avast, click on change, choose repair
SURT tool again and post log please.
Hopefully, Avast repair will replace missing manifest.

    Hummm....
    Well, let's try another route!
download from Google Drive account Revo Uninstaller Pro
    run installer
    click help
    click auto update
    follow instructions
by default, Revo will create registry backup and restore point
    find avast
    double-click avast
    avast uninstaller click uninstall
    do not restart computer!
close avast uninstaller window with red X
    On Revo, click Advanced
    delete everything it finds
    run Avast Clear
Run SURT and post log, BTW: you don't need to zip CheckSUR.log, just attach it.

Hello. Thank you for your persistence. After clicking Advanced in Revo and then deleting the leftover files, it said some remaining files would be deleted at next restart. Do you want me to restart the PC after that before running Avast Clear? I will just pause at this step in your instructions and leave that PC on till I see another post here. Thanks.

[Edit: I didn't know if you meant don't restart the computer only between those two steps where you wrote "do not restart computer!" or if you meant don't restart the computer at all while completing this set of instructions.]

Rgr on the no need to zip CheckSUR.log attachments.

Can anyone who knows about such things who may happen to see this post tell me if changing the power options on the computer this thread is about so it goes to sleep instead of setting there fully switched on will be okay in as far as what Snick was helping me do? You can see from the previous two posts what that is and why I left the computer setting there on for the past day and a half, but I would rather let it sleep instead till Snick returns if that is different enough from switching the computer off that it won't change anything we are in the middle of. I don't really know how to say what I'm asking very well. Sorry. Thank you for reading this.

    Restart or not is OK
    Did you run AVAST clear?
If you completed everything in #35
Run SURT again and attach log please!

Hello, Snick. I'm sorry you became unwell. I hope you are feeling better. Thank you for helping me.

Yeah, I followed the instructions from post #35. I stopped after using Revo and left the computer switched on till I heard from you to clarify if I wasn't supposed to restart the computer then too. So just now I ran Avast Clear and SURT. Here is the CheckSUR.log copied after doing that.
