KB4099633/KB4103718 Pending in Update History But Are NOT Installed

As the header states, KB4099633 & KB4103718 show pending in Update History but aren't installed and if I try manually doing it it tells me it's already installed.
I've rebooted & run the troubleshooter several times and it hasn't fixed it.
    Any ideas anyone?
I remember resetting Windows Update fairly recently as per the Tutorial, would that have wiped all previous records of installed updates off the map?

    Hi Ex_Brit,

Batch file renames SoftwareDistribution folder. Window will automatically recreate it and sub-folders!

    Rename Software Distribution Folder.zip

Another non-urgent question if I may. Belarc Advisor says I'm up-to-date and it's pretty reliable so the aforementioned updates must be installed despite the fact I can't find them in "Installed Updates".
Would that resetting of WU that I did about 2 or 3 weeks ago have caused that anomaly? (Good job I don't have to uninstall any of them!!)

If you reset, rename, or delete history in SoftwareDistribution folder, or the same with the entire SoftwareDistribution folder, the installed update history is cleared and Windows recreates the folders. Maybe gone if reset or batch file does not save the old version, still in renamed history folder, or gone obviously when deleted.

My batch file you ran, had text indicating your SoftwareDistribution folder was renamed to SoftwareDistribution.old, which is where the old history is stored, except for maybe if you ran a reset program that didn't backup/rename the folder, which is what I always do in my batch files. Could have used .bak, .last, almost anything that indicates it was previous folder.

All your updates are still on your computer, just the history list is new, displaying history from the point of the new SoftwareDistribution folder from the point of creation on , and WinUpdate will display Updates were NEVER done, which obviously you have done regularly on your computer.

BTW: Curious about the code in the batch file? Right-click it and choose Edit, will open in Notepad and you can check out the code. Simplistic batch file actually.

    Nic
