View Update History missing-refers me to installed updates

I noticed that the view update history page no longer appears. My other windows 7 computer still shows it. The history page shows the KB number. I started uninstalling updates and noticed some updates will not uninstall. For the one which did, I rebooted and the screen is hung on "preparing to configure windows do not turn off you computer." Any ideas. My gut feeling is i wll have to reinstall windows. I did this because of the unsupported hardware message. I have and I7 8700K on a Z370 motherboard.

    Hi

MS has been trying to force W10 for users with newer cpu's, Kabylake onwards, by restricting updates on older OS's.
have a look at this thread
Trying to install Win7 on a Kaby Lake processor - Windows 7 Help Forums

A blank update history is NOT a problem, and is usually caused by cleaning/wiping the Software distibution folder.
check the installed updates folder bottom left WU GUI.
