FRST Fix
1. NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
2. Download attached file unzip and save it to the Desktop.
3. Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
4. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
5. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
6. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.

DrCos, many individuals see that they have a similar problem and attempt to utilize the script for there machine. I place that in the beginning of my post with the hope that that does not happen. If you run a registry script and you don't know what you're doing it can severely damage your OS.

By default, FRST creates a Registry Backup the first time you run it, which you have done.

The script is to remove all registry entries that pertain to the KBs I had you enter into FRST, those being KB2633952, KB3083992, & KB4343900

We replaced/repaired the missing cat & mum files. When WU attempted to install KB2633952 and KB3083992, they corrupted your registry. Subsequent thereto, WU attempted to install KB4343900, again registry corruption.

You could not uninstall the offending KBs because they were not properly installed, and as I stated, corrupted your registry.

If you attempted to uninstall any or all of the KB via CMD, you would have received an error message, KBxxxxxxxx is not installed on your computer, which is partially true, WU botched the install, attempt to install the first two listed KBs should not have taken place with results you are experiencing.

I'm not trying to be a smart ass, FRST doesn't do anything but give me that message "Looks like you don't know what to do. To prevent damage to the system the tool will exit." in a dialog box and stops. Sorry I didn't say that in the first place :)

Are you familiar with DISM++ ?
It uses a different search engine to locate and install win updates.
Here's the links
Dism++ | New Windows Utility
Dism++ Direct Download

Run DISM++x64, click updates, click scan, scans for updates on your computer. Presents a list of available updates, when you click on the group box above the sorted updates, windows sometimes appear, if that update has been problematic and provide you a choice. You don't need to reboot until all updates have finishes installing.

FRST64 is not deleting all the keys. I try to delete a key manually in regedit and get the error "unable to delete all specified values"

These are still there. Do I need to run FRST64 / fixlist.txt in safe mode?
