Don't need to force anything, work TOGETHER please.
Reason Win Update dysfunctional, fix, not force.

"What is the full path of the updates?"
    I can copy them into c:\wusa -- makes a short path :)

    Full path where please:
    SoftwareDistribution Folder
    WinSxS Folder
    RAM Cache
    Installed
    Pending
    ??????
Downloads to RAM, Decompression of KB,to software-distribution, to WinSxS, cat.mum pairs and manifests are installed with hard links in tack, permissions in tack, security protocols in tack. One botched process, ie a bit flip, 1 to 0 or vice versa. Corrupt File. WU Broken. Missing File, WU Broken.

FIX ITs don't work because they don't have the replacement file or files, the exact replacement(s).
WUSA uninstall works sometime, if the M$ KB uninstaller installed correctly. Did it? Almost a guaranteed NO. That's what the CBS, CheckSUR, WindowsUpdate, etc., logs are for.

    Tack is in Tack

Windows Update is INCREDIBLY COMPLICATED, INCREDIBLY!

English without acronyms would help, please.

"kinder, gentler, GHWB compaign-" from wikipedia: "The 1988 United States presidential election was the 51st quadrennial United States presidential election. It was held on Tuesday, November 8, 1988. Incumbent Vice President George H. W. Bush, the Republican nominee, defeated Democratic Governor Michael Dukakis of Massachusetts."
GHWB (my earlier post reversed his middle initials) said he was going to run a kinder, gentler, compaign, and he did -- not, it was rough and tough on both sides.

On Windows 7 and earlier, the DISM command isn't available. Instead, you can download and run the System Update Readiness Tool from Microsoft and use it to scan your system for problems and attempt to fix them.Mar 30, 2018
or my AutoSURT64 and it posts the CBS folder on your desktop.

Sorry, I thought you had downloaded DISM and therefore had it on your OS! I did that with one Win 7 OS and then wrote a script to install all the WU's from a folder [I downloaded only the WU's I wanted to install into a folder].

If you want to select specific WU's to install then the easiest way is to use DISM++ => Dism++10.1.1000.100.zip.

Run the program => click UPDATES in the left-hand pane => click Scan => check the UPDATES you want to install => click INSTALL.

    I hope this helps!
