Cannot install Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7

    Hello,

I don't know if anybody has a magic fix for this problem or not.

I can not and have not been able to install any of the Security Monthly Quality Rollups dating all the way back to June 2017. I continue to try and every two or three months I'll research the issue but still no luck. I don't know if I'm just dumb or I get lost in all the Microsoft mumble-jumble.

All the other Updates seem to be installing np, it's ONLY these Monthly Rollups.

Examples Attached :: one showing all the fails

:: one showing the installs with fails mixed in.

Should I just forget about these Monthly Rollups if they don't install.

I'm so sick of trying to figure out what is going on. I don't have as much time on my computer as I used to and I get so frustrated with all of this.

In April 2017 my computer crashed so I was afraid the guy who re-installed my Windows had made some kind of an error. Didn't want to contact him again to ask because I wasn't real happy with the service he provided. He told me I couldn't recover my Firefox info that it was corrupted but he was wrong; after I researched it I managed to recover everything from my back up and pull out the profile information.

Thanks in Advance to ANYBODY that reads this and try's to help me.

    Have a Good Day !!!

    Jenn

    Hi JennB213,

Please download and run SURTx64, when it completes,
    please post CheckSUR.log & CBS.log, location: C:\Windows\Logs\CBS
    & WindowsUpdate.log, location: C:\Windows

You can place them in a zip/compressed folder and upload.

    Hello Snick,

Thank You for your help with this.

After I downloaded SURTx64, upon installation it asked me to download HotFix KB947821 and I let it.

I put all three (3) of the log files you requested into one zip file.

    Warm Regards, Jenn

    Hi Jenn,

Hopefully Snick can get you those missing payload files.

What i do find odd is that the normal monthly security updates ARE being installed.
So in a way you are upto date
Somewhere along the line 1 of the cumulative must have experienced corruption

Hi all, I'm having same trouble with Security Monthly Quality Rollups: I cant' install the last of march, and if I hide it, winupdate finds the one of previous month. So I hid all them back until April 2018 monthly roll-up.
Now winupdate doesn't complain anymore, seems up to date... but if I restore the last roll up, WU finds it and fails to install. I think the next month I will notice the same behavior when the new monthly rollup will be released.

Here a piece of CBS.log referring to March Rollup install (downloaded by hands, after many tries failed by automatic update):

The error seems related to "Store corruption...".

Before that log also tried to apply KB947821 System Update Readiness Tool for 64bit.
I don't have a log for that, but after all tries I found a proceedure I think similar to SURT64:
    Code:
    dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    Attached log as CheckSUR.log.txt.

There are 12 errors about missed files related two old updates:

    - KB3035583
    - KB3123862

These two seem related to windows 10 free update period july 2015 to july 2016 or something similar.
Maybe that two errors detected by SURT64, haven't nothing to do with the failed rollups install...
    Any suggest is really appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

JennB213, here's your missing payload files.

Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop

Download SFCFix.zip and save this to your Desktop

    Drag SFCFix.zip onto SFCFix.exe

Post log that appears on your Desktop please
