This was a year ago and I do not remember. But willing to give it another try.
I did find this Advice:
If you can't activate Windows 7 with this product key try this !
1.Open start type in slui.exe 4
2.Select your country
3.Call Microsoft support (after working time)
4.Activate your software (machine will let you know how)
IS this still good ?
MS has a link to updated informationi to this but it goes to this:
We are sorry, the page you requested cannot be found.
The URL may be misspelled or the page you're looking for is no longer available.
I did find a link to check product keys but it does not offer it in English.
Hi Don,
Counterfieters had a field day with W7 Ultimate, most pirated program on the planet.
They went to great lengths to dupe buyers, including fake packaging and holograms.
In reality the key is a licence to run W7 issued by and controlled by them, the CD is irrelevant
The only REAL way to check is if its actually on a comp and the Mgadiag run.
Based on the comment from the rep i'd guess its an MSDN key, (not for resale), which has been sold multiple times and finally come to MS's attention
You could google it - multiple hits = bad news.

Hi Don,
as you cant input your key, (ending B7), the system generates the default
D4F6K-QK3RD-TMVMJ-BBMRX-3MBMV, and places the system into a grace period
the mismatches go hand in hand with the other WAT error Not Registered, further down.
Did you google the key, if so any hits??
up to you if you want to post the last 3 blocks, i check on my files see if i've got any more info
BASED on the fact you tried the enter product key field and it came back with that message i reckon its blocked, as i said previously MSDN.
