October 8, 2019—KB4519976 (Monthly Rollup) wont install

    Type B user

Its a laptop that I do not use much and is being donated to someone else, I don't update it regularly but want to hand it over as upto date as possible.
I only ever bother with important security only updates.
I have done the latest office 10 and kb4474419 with no bother but KB4519976 refuses to install and ends with an error code 80092004.
I would normally just leave it but the laptop is being picked up tomorrow and the last time I installed a Monthly rollup was 24th Jan

Check that the following has been installed and then run WU's again [or download the Security-Only .msu and install it after you have checked] . . .

As far as the SSU's [Servicing Stack Update s] are concerned, the latest WU requires KB4490628 [SSU], KB4474419 [SHA-2], and then KB4516655 [SSU].

    I hope this helps!

    Thanks Paul
I have KB4474419 but not the other two. But looking in update history there are two instances of
KB4474419. I did it yesterday and also today but when I look in "installed updates" none of the three are there.
Fast getting out of my depth.

    Hang in there.

Download the KB4490628 [.msu] to the desktop from here and install it [double-click it] => KB4490628 Servicing stack update for Windows 7 SP1

Download the KB4516655 [.msu] to the desktop from here and install it [double-click it] => New KB4516655 Servicing stack update for Windows 7 - Sept. 10

Then run WU's again, OR download the Monthly Rollup OR Security-Only .msu and install it, as above, from here => KB4519976 Security Monthly Rollup update for Windows 7 - Oct. 8.

    I hope this helps!

The first one went on no problems and did not ask for a re-start but the second one after I downloaded and double clicked it the Update stand alone installer pop up window is hanging on "searching for updates on this computer" and pressing cancel will not close that window
