Oh, it normally gives the sub-versions as well.
Was it the => 4 Ways to Repair or Remove Microsoft .NET Framework that told you you needed to pepair?

It was an internal message, from within windows prime. After removal of net frameworks, did another repair install, this time, so far, no error message.

The three of us - Paul, Snick, Roland: Venimus, et cogitavit: fecit nos, pro nobis!
[Translation: We came, we planned, we did, we succeeded!]

In a nutshell...after trying numerous things suggested by Paul, Snick, and others, finally did a Repair Install, 200 WUs later, only 3 remain. I got Windows Media Player back, Windows Features back, and after a tiny bit of work -- IE is fully back. I did two SysRes partition backps, two C partition backups, before posting here of the Trio Success. My belief is -- until it is backed up, it may not exist [for long].

What? No party? No celebration? We three [and actually some others as well] worked smart and hard day after day trying many things. We need some balloons!

"Please run MS_Info32_Find_Problem_Devices.bat...and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link...and someone will look at it for you."

Paul, because I wanted a "written" report of no problems found, to show higher ups at work, I modified your batch-file to leave a report regardless of what was or was not found:
=========================================================================
for %%R in ("%userprofile%\Desktop\Prob_Devices.txt") do if %%~zR equ 0 (
echo.
echo NO PROBLEM DEVICES WERE FOUND, leaving [not deleting] the EMPTY file . . .
echo NO PROBLEM DEVICES WERE FOUND...>"%userprofile%\Desktop\Prob_Devices.txt"
::del "%userprofile%\Desktop\Prob_Devices.txt"
echo.
) else echo. & echo The file was created successfully! & echo.
echo ^< Press ANY key to EXIT ^> & Pause > NUL
(Paul, copy and paste may have altered some placements)
==========================================================================
I have added several report-gaenerating/fixing things batch-files and EXEs from you and Snick into several separate report and log sub-directories into directory Logs contained in d partition of each laptop.
