    Hidden updates list disappeared

    Hello,

I recently hid several updates in order to get the 2019-09 Servicing Stack update (KB4516655) to appear. Like many here, I'd been unable to install the Monthly Quality Rollup and Preview of Monthly Quality Rollup for the last few months. I still couldn't install it, but Paul Black's procedure at Kb4490628 got me sorted (Thanks, Paul!).

Now I've got the 2019-09 Servicing Stack update (KB4516655) installed, and went back to install the hidden updates, but the list is empty and says at the bottom "You have not hidden any updates for your computer." I know there should be a number of updates there.

From the command prompt, I stopped and restarted the Windows Update service (wuauserv), but still nothing in the list. Anybody have any thoughts?

    Thanks very much in advance!

    Best,

    L.

    Sorry!

Not sure why the list was empty, but I just checked for updates, and while nothing new was found, all the missing hidden updates came back.

    Thanks, anyway - great forum!

A lot of members have had the same issue, and running WU again seems to re-populate the list!

Most of the time, restarting your computer
    or
restarting the app will correct many problems.

Worked for me - I had never seen the list empty before!

Thanks again for the post on Kb4490628 - it was driving me 'round the bend!
