Have you tried uninstalling & reinstalling the KB
sounds like 32 bit kb was installed by mistake, not supposed to be, well...
To uninstall the kb, run Uninstall 4499175.bat from my OneDrive
downloading again from M$ Catalog and reinstalling it
It is the second listing Windows 7 x64-based systems

I have already given him a batch script [.bat] file that uninstalls it!

OK, what I meant was that Tviewer could seem to work fine, but below the surface some hack could be harvesting your account passwords or your overall online identity.

If only Ten *looked* better, the ice-block look rankles me, and if it didn't need its privacy intrusions tamed by little utility tweaks constantly playing catch-up.

OK, got the new revised bat from OneDrive, thanks, so that's the one I'll run.

Thanks Paul and Bill. I just ran Uninstall KB4499175.bat from OneDrive, seemed to work fine, and after reboot that pesky icon is gone.
I have been using it for years without ANY problems.
Same here. I conclude that I don't need Remote Desktop and if I don't run it I don't need any patch for it.
