Latest updates KB4533095 & KB4530734 messed up my computer

I have a Sony Vaio with Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit. It was working fine last night. Today I went to wake it up and it automatically stated doing the updates. I let it run through the process - which included 3 automatic restarts - and when it finally allowed me to login, the desktop was set back to original settings and when I open Quicken, KeePass, etc and my data is gone! I'm currently trying to find where my latest Quicken backups are stored and where my KeePass data is as well as finding what else got messed up but any ideas on why this happened? I checked update log and these were the only two updates installed today and both show successful:

    2019-12 Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2, 4.7, 4.7.1, 4.7.2, 4.8 for Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB4533095)
    Installation date: ‎12/‎11/‎2019 3:17 AM
    Installation status: Successful

2019-12 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4530734)
    Installation date: ‎12/‎11/‎2019 3:11 AM
    Installation status: Successful

The update before that was on the 9th and seemed to have caused no issues.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Would love to be able to restore it to the way it was yesterday.

** Additional Info - When I open Quicken 2006 it steps me through process to load data but then it shuts down before I get to screen to select file location. Wondering if update caused old version of Quicken to not be usable?? **

Sorry...jumped the gun. Even though it seemed to start normally we decided to try the "Microsoft" fix and reboot once again. It decided to install yet another update but it came up with my customized desktop and apps seem okay. Backing everything up again just in case but all seems well.
