Has January 14, 2020, arrived early????

Surprise!! I was updating a Win7 HE computer this morning and had to leave for an appointment while it was working. When I got back 3 hours later imagine my surprise when the update had turned into an Upgrade to Win10 without any interaction on the user's part, no one home but my 2 dogs. I was trying to decide if or when I wanted to put Win10 on it yet.

Hi Berton,
Not that I'm aware of! Cold enough here in SE Mich.

Haven't had that happen yet!
You can go back to win 7 if you wish
Start menu > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. “Go back to Windows 7

I decided to cancel that update, clone the HDD, change the drive and test the clone, seems to be fine. Now I'll use the downloaded Win10 to do a clean install. Part of my decision is to also change the case, previous owner did some damage to this one. Getting freebies brings some little bit of risk.

Windows 7 SP1 Home Premium 64bit [x64]

that's why Never10 needs to be used to prevent unexpected or unwanted upgrades from Win7 to Win10
and download & install the KB3184143 update to also remove some of the GWX stuff - never use Win7 without doing these things
