    Windows 7 CheckSUR missing manifest files


    Hello,

    could you please help me.

    I have an old Windows 7 x64 PC where Windows Updates makes problems.

    CheckSUR says in the end:

    Unavailable repair files:
    winsxs\manifests\msil_system.windows.forms_b77a5c561934e089_6.1.7600.16789_none_0572cb9effd6f83v.man ifest

    little but, the first one relates to W7 NOT W7 SP1, are you trying to update to SP1.

    Hello Roy,

    thanks for your reply. The PC has Windows 7 Enterprise x64 Service Pack 1. I don't know why it shows these entries.

    Could you please provide me the files? How could I get them on my own? I asume, the files would be part of the update msu files, but I can't detect from the 4 entries which updates I would need to download and unpack.

    Hi Oliver,

    If its an Enterprise install it should be managed by the Business that supplied you with it
    (this version is NOT sold to the general public - volume licence only)

    Yes, its Win 7 Enterprise and I am admin in that company, so I contacted myself, but I got no helping answer from me. Thats why I asked you for help.

    The filenames you provided have ' " # and a space in them. Don't ever recall seeing those in the winsxs folder or other relevant locations. No matches in my huge repository.
