I just got a notice on my W7 pro desktop for the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool . I thought W7 was no longer supported?

And hi...I just came back from a long hiatus since 2016 LOL!

    security update

    Hi,

I got the Malicious Software Removal Tool too only for my Ultimate x64.

What I was wondering is this Security Only update. Is it safe to install?

I still wish to use my Windows 7 because I don't know what else to use on my laptop.
I am certainly not going to be using Windows 10.

This patch only for the Win 7 with subscription (pay) for the extended period of support.
it will revert back for the normal End of life Win 7.

I received Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) plus Microsoft Office 2010 Updates this week on my WIN 7 Home computer with no paid extended support. I thought both of these were supposed to end in January with only MSE Updates to continue. On my WIN 10 it indicates Office 2010 updates will continue on WIN 10 until Oct 2020.

Does anyone have some clarity on any of this? Will MSRT continue since it is not actually a part of WIN?
