Unable to install windows updates via built-in Windows Update tool.

    Hi,
I was wondering if i was able to get a zip package containing all the Windows 7 64-bit updates. I am unable to use the built-in tool for an unknown reason and would like to install them manually.
    Thanks

Edit: I apparently need these updates to install Windows 10, I haven't had any success installing Windows 10 because of the missing updates.

You have not said how long Windows 7 64-bit has been installed in your computer, or if you have been keeping it up-to-date on a regular basis.
We have no idea how out-of-date it is and what updates it needs.

    Welcome to Sevenforums!

What is the message your are receiving when you try Windows Update?

    Do you have SP1 installed?

Windows Update Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Help Forums

I created an automated tool with WinRAR to assist regarding System Update Readiness Tool (SURT).
It is Microsoft's SURT with batch script to run SURT, and place the CBS folder with CheckSUR.log ect on your desktop. CheckSUR.log is temporary in its original location.

What is System Update Readiness Tool?

The System Update Readiness Tool (CheckSUR) is a downloadable utility from Microsoft that can be used to fix a variety of problems related to Windows updates. It does so by scanning files and registry keys associated with updates and replacing corrupt ones with good versions.

I have most if not all of the files you may need in my repository. 250,000 +

    From my OneDrive AutoSURTx64

You can also try Dism++10.1.1000.90B or Simplix UpdatePack 7 - MajorGeeks
These two tools most likely won't fix your problem trying to update to Windows 10.

Repair Install - Windows 7 Help Forums
Link to ISO file is broken, link in my instructions below is working. I downloaded from my link, both x32 and x64, scanned for malware, decompressed and scanned files/folder for malware, they are CLEAN! If there are numerous corruptions then a Repair Install would be required.

    Oh sorry.
I have had this OS installed to my computer since march last year and no, i haven't been updating it regularly. I do believe i have SP1 installed and I receive multiple error codes when trying to use windows update. the main error message i get though is "Windows Update encountered an unknown error"

Would you follow/complete posting instruction please!

A general statement regarding Windows Update errors does not help us to help you.
