    I have a retail version of Windows 7 Ultimate. Recently it has reported that it is not genuine. Yet, it is a genuine copy (box, product key, DVDs, etc.). The phone number it gives to call is somewhere in the UAE (+971 country code) but, that only comes up after it gives a blank pull down list where a phone number should be. I am not sure what the problem is, and I have WIN10 already. But, I want my WIN7 also to function. So, here I am hoping there is a way to restore my license to functioning order.

    I already tried all the rearm suggestions but:
    it gives an error saying I have a "non-core version" and
    trying to do the whole rsop with the plug and play is a no-go because all of that is grayed out.

    the open market -- they were never issued with Discs -- emailed notification only
    You still have 5 rearms available (slmgr /rearm)
    if this is a recent install i would not expect RSOP to be "greyed out"
    i would be interested in the reply from MS

    IF that phone number was on the discs packaging i would be highly suspicious, as your reported on this forum as being from the States... and with the greying out im even more concerned
