I have a retail version of Windows 7 Ultimate. Recently it has reported that it is not genuine. Yet, it is a genuine copy (box, product key, DVDs, etc.). The phone number it gives to call is somewhere in the UAE (+971 country code) but, that only comes up after it gives a blank pull down list where a phone number should be. I am not sure what the problem is, and I have WIN10 already. But, I want my WIN7 also to function. So, here I am hoping there is a way to restore my license to functioning order.

I already tried all the rearm suggestions but:
it gives an error saying I have a "non-core version" and
trying to do the whole rsop with the plug and play is a no-go because all of that is grayed out.

IF that phone number was on the discs packaging i would be highly suspicious, as your reported on this forum as being from the States... and with the greying out im even more concerned

Yep. That's exactly what I have. It even comes with a fancy semi-cardboard insert in the shape of the box that has the key printed on a bright yellow sticker!

BTW, do you mind showing your reference as to what(or who) is reporting that I have no disks and no retail copy?

Anyway, I did not come here to be called a liar or pirate or whatever you are implying. I have a retail box with a key and two dvd disks. End of matter. Now, if no one can help resolve my issue then please refrain from chiming in just to increase your reply rate stats and appear knowledgeable.

What makes me laugh is that there are dozens upon dozens of posts here from individuals with obviously questionable key/copy of Win7 and somehow they are able to get their Win 7 running lickety-split. But, I have a legit Win7 and I am told I am a liar, or have no disks or whatever else can be thrown at me besides some constructive guidance. Wow. What a farce!

You meant like this? Note that this is Window 7 Ultimate Upgrade. It came with both 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs. I started with the 32-bit version. A few years later I upgraded the RAM to 8GB and used the other DVD to install the 64-bit version. BTW, I like a lot of people found out is that the Upgrade version of Windows 7 would install OK without a previous version of Windows installed.
