Also Silverlight plug-in will enable updates for Microsoft products, if you check the box to enable updates during installation.

Try Legacy Update. Legacy Update is available for download at Legacy Update: Get back online, activate, and install updates on your legacy Windows PC. You will need Service Pack 1 of Windows 7 first, however.

The thread starter has not replied back to anyone since July 26th, so any further comments and advice is probably a waste of time.

Download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
There was a tutorial that helped me fix it on YouTube but I don't remember where it was located at, so you might want to search on YouTube.

Have you installed the Windows 7 Update Advisor? That software may help.

I’ve been in a similar situation with an old laptop running Windows 7. Unfortunately, getting Microsoft Update to work on Windows 7 in 2023 can be tricky since official support ended.

You might have better luck using third-party tools like WSUS Offline Update, which can help you download and install updates. Another option is checking out bnh software for reviews and guides on maintaining older systems. They often have helpful tips for situations like this.
