How can I activate my Windows 7 on a non-connected computer?

Another thing you could consider, is to let the repair shop fix what is wrong with the computer (I'm assuming it is something physical). Then put the sytsem image, which you made of it earlier, on it. You may find everything is good. If the computer problem was physical, then your image won't break anything (unless in the unlikely event you have a really nasty virus that actually attacks the computer physically. Which the repair shop should catch). But even if the image doesn't work out, you can simply delete the partition and start over, following suggestions already made in this thread (calling Microsoft, using alternative activation methods, etc.).

I uninstalled 11 and tried to install IE8 and got a message, something like "This version of Windows don't support IE8".
Something like that, I was so tired that I simply shut off the computer and went to bed.

If you mean the old computer, I have simply given up on that one for now since the people at the repair shop couldn't find what was wrong.

If you mean a newer one which I have acquired and where the partition and IE 11 have caused trouble plus some trouble with lost "bootmgr" as well , I'm pulling some other strings right now.

However, this have started to look like a curse. As soon as I fix one problem, another shows up.

People post all the time on these forums about problems with their computers. Sometime a simple solution is found. However, there are other times no easy solution is ever found. In the end I and others have realized that after spending days and weeks on a problem then the next best step is to do a clean install of Windows. I realize that is a lot of work but compared to all the time already wasted on the problem it is a bargain.

This is exactly what I'm gonna do after the weekend!

But then we're back to the original problem, the valuation.
But I'll deal with that in the coming week.

I have managed to solve the problem by buying a decent Windows 7 computer.

And when it came to validation and such, I managed to fix it too via telephone.

I also got the game I mentioned to work on Windows 10 so now I got two options if something goes wrong.

I would like to thank everyone who have posted here and tried to help me out with this. Your help has been highly valuable and very much appreciated.

Yes, That's what I bought and it works fine!

I've re-installed what I had to install and everything is back to normal.

However, my UPS don't seem to like the new addition so I might have to buy a new one.
