I would like to reinstall Windows 7 on an old computer. The only big problem will be with updates. I think that Windows 7 updates starting about 2018 started assuming that the CPU supported SSE2. If the CPU didn't then the update broke Windows 7. The only solution was to use System Restore. This would be a real pain.

Does anyone know which updates have this problem so they can be avoided?
Is there any way that Simplix UpdatePack 7 can be used that won't break Windows 7?
