Office 2007 Updates keep showing up..

So I used to have Office 2007. I completely removed it, i'm talking using windows installer cleanup, deleting registry files, every program file related to it in so many places on my computer. Then I installed 2010 beta.

But three updates for Office 2007 keep showing up in Windows Update. its one for the junk email filter and two other security updates. I know I can hide them, and I did that, but in the back of my mind, hiding isn't good enough for me. Its bugging me that I can't make it so they won't show up anymore. Any Ideas?

just go ahead and let them install . Since office 2010 is still beta it may use some 2007 files.

yea but thats another problem. they don't install, it says updates failed because it obviously can't find the files to update. and I even deleted the log files inside the SoftwareDistribution in the windows folder and all the files in the SotfwareDistribution/Downloads folder.

Just "hide" them, then they will not reappear.

I know I already know I can hide them, and I have done it.. Im trying to find a technical solution to fix it, so they don't come anymore, even if I don't hide them.

    The updates are:

Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 (KB951550)

Security Update for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (KB951944)

Update for Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 Junk Email Filter (KB977719)

I'm comfortable editing registry and everything. I deleted every trace of Office 2007 that I could find on my hard drive. I want a true solution not hiding.

Windows Installer Cleanup is not good tool to remove Office,it's true it is very hard to uninstall.

First uninstall 2010,and next clear entries from 2007 by using both tools:

Uninstall Microsoft Office 2007 in Vista and XP Raymond.CC Blog
(to use this tool you have to right clik on it and choose run as admin)

    and

How do I uninstall the 2007 Office suites if I cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature?

you can also verify manually How to manually uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature

but there is more entries what MS article says.If none of above suggestions help, please install NET Framework SDK if you don't have yet

    for x32
Download details: .NET Framework 2.0 Software Development Kit (SDK) (x86)

    for x64
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/i...splaylang%3den

and in that manully remove entries for Office (image)
