    Windows 7 Update Not Working. Code 64C and 800B0100

    4 important updates to install. Starts, creates restore point. One update works then second stops.

    Help suggested trying System Update Readiness Tool. Downloaded and installed but didn't make the Update work. Back to still having 4 updates to install.

    Any suggestions?

    Find CheckSur.log file in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder and attache this file to post

    1.Empty folder C:\Windows\Logs\CBS
    next download files attached to post and unpack them anywhere
    2.Navigate to C:\Windows\Servicing\Packages,takeownership of this folder and add your account to have full control
    3.Copy my files to this folder -if you have already any file then replace it.
    4.Remove your account from permissions to Packages folder
    5.Restore ownership of Packages folder back to "NT Service\TrustedInstaller"
    6.Again try install hotfixes

    If it still don't help again run Readiness Tool and attache to post new CheckSur.log file

    Ok,
    Done all that. 2 of 5 updates worked, 3 still failed.
    Run the readiness tool and the checksur.log file is below.

    1.Reset WU components in aggressive mode How do I reset Windows Update components?.empty C:\Windows\temp folder

    2.Run cmd.exe with administrative previlliges (right click on cmd.exe as admin) and type:

    sfc /scannow

    If none of above suggestions help please uninstall update KB979306 -CBS.log report strange errors relate to this hotfix log3.txt.All updates install one by one but KB979306 leave at the end.
