Windows 7 Memory Issues with Updates

Hey everyone, this is my first time on these forums and unfortunately not on a happy note After trying to figure out how to run the game Combat Arms, I gave up and decided that I might as well try to install all the important windows updates that I had neglected to install earlier. So i clicked install, then I decided I should just hit the shutdown option (which said it would install updates), so I aborted the current windows updates session, to go to full screen updates and let my computer restart. Once I restarted it asked for disk checking which I let run. When I got on, I noticed that my desktop screen was light blue and when I tried to run programs like control panel, My Computer, desktop properties it would pop an error: (Explorer.exe) "There is not enough free memory to run this program. Exit one or more programs and try again". Then I tried opening Warcraft III, and Combat Arms and somehow they both
    worked now :S
Also, when i open taskmanager it says im only using 5% of CPU.
Any help would be appreciated to rid of these problems, my specs are:

    Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) (build 7600)
    2.40 gigahertz Intel Core2 Duo
    4080 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
39.91 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space
ATI MOBILITY RADEON HD 2600 XT

Belarc Advisor also says that I am missing important security updates if that helps.

Also, windows updates does not run anymore.
*Something worth mentioning: I just rebooted onto my mac partition and everything runs fine at full speed, so it is windows specific not the computer in general.

Hmm weird, before I went to school I scanned my computer with Spybot which found 4 virused then deleted them. Then i restarted my computer, and still was all messed up. When I came back to school, it was all normal =) Thanks for your help and thanks for the file that I will use if this happens again for different reasons, thanks again!

Normally is very hard to dispose whole code of virus on allive system. You must realize many virusese can perfectly hide before installed security software.I strong recommend scan your system again at least this tool Malwarebytes.org,or even better livecd with antivir i.e this one:Dr.Web CureIt!
