    Windows Not Genuine?!

This moning I installed SQL Server 2005 and after a re-boot it stated that my Windows 7 is not genuine and asks to continue or get genuine, I continued.

I bought this from amazon when it was first released and it is a fresh installation that has been fine since when first officially released.

Why's this occurred all of a sudden? What can I do?

I had to actually ring them a while ago when I put new GPU in.

It can be done over the phone but of course you will be charged.

Here we go again with activation woes coming from legitimate users. Microsoft's attempts at anti-piracy only punishes legitimate users, and nothing more. Those who choose to pirate their software have a crack available as soon as an activation update is released. So who are the ones that are actually affected by MS anti-piracy updates? You guessed it, the legitimate users. Go figure. Feels like deja-vu of the Windows Genuine Advantage days, doesn't it?

Oh, and before you go bashing my post, I'm most definately AGAINST software piracy.

    Anybody know why this happens?

I just got the window after a reboot saying my windows 7 may be counterfit and to continue or go genuine. I went genuine and all is happy, but I would like to know why it happened. Any ideas?
