    Windows updated without asking?

    Hi.
Windows just updated without asking me. -Which is fine, really, but it also restarted my computer without asking.
I was playing a computer game and all of a sudden the computer restarted and started applying updates..

    How can I disable this?

You can turn off automatic updates if you so wish to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Turn-automatic-updating-on-or-off. But, if you choose to turn it off, make sure to check for updates at your convenience. :)

Just some added advice, do not install many updates at once. Install only one or two at a time. From personal experience, and the posts of others, it seems that if several upadates require booting the computer to install a conflict is created, which can cause problems.

This was also true in Vista also, too many at once and BSOD city. Between that and the 4GB BSOD crashing it was a nightmare, although I havn't seen that problem with Windows 7 yet.

Me either, except for finding drivers and software that works the first few months.
