    Hey guys, how can I get windows 7 to install ms updates in the user account without admin rights?

    Run that process as admin. right click the installer and "run as admin"

    Thanks for the reply I'm creating an image for the school I work at and I need update to be able to install with standard or power user account rights automatically for whatever date I set. Thanks.

    hi fantom, you will need an admin account just once for this, afterwards all users will be able to install updates

    type Windows update into the start menu, and click it.
    on the left hand side click "Change Settings"
    check the box marked "allow all users to install windows updates"
    Click ok
    done!

Expanding Standard Account rights

Hello! Is it possible to give a standard user account (non-administrator) the acces to install some programs? How about giving him the acces to command "scan for hardware changes" in Device manager, just so that an external eSATA harddrive is recognized? How about deleting shortcut icons...
Hi All, For some reason i need to give adminstrative rights to Standard User in Windows 7.How can i do that ? As of now standard user can access all the programs but when he runs IIS it asks for admin password. Any help will be appreciated . Thank You
