Are you using the serial Key that came with the DVD ?
Watch carefully the numbers & letters you type in Zero's, G, Q, 6, etc
thanks doc, but I'm sure I typed it correctly :)
and yes, I'm using the key that came with the dvd
any idea why I keep getting the error code?
Looks like you are using a MAK or KMS key. Do you have your KMS server running?
Here is the error per Microsoft:
How to troubleshoot Volume Activation error codes on Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista-based computers
This can also happen with technet accounts if the MS activation servers are acting up. Use the automated phone system to activate Win7, you'll need to call up a toll free number aand key in the installation ID via the phone’s keypad. You should receive an auto generated confirmation ID.
Thanks for the input guys ~~
It says that I already used the key on other PC, which in reality I'm not and i was like, wth??!! and it only have 20 days left
Maybe I'll contact Dell for support or call Microsoft..
I'll post if i get new information
