    Patch Tuesday - 6/9/10

Windows update advised me of 7 updates available today. I immediately ruled out 4 of them. Those that remain are:

    KB979482
    KB979559
    KB980218

All 3 carry the following description:

"A security issue has been identified that could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to compromise your system and gain control over it."

Has anyone installed/tested these yet? I'm going to need a little more info than MS is offering before I install these.

    THANKS!

I installed them all as well as the 6 for Office, making 13 updates in total for this Windows 7 machine, my XP needed 17 but of course they included the Office ones as well.

This was a big month for me, for my small office at work it showed 66 security updates and 11 critical updates. Of course, many are the same for different OS versions...but it's still a lot to review to make sure that I don't cripple the office.

O departamento de updates não passou o memo para o departamento de virus...

The Updates department didn't send the memo to the virus departments...

But, I had a Silverlight updated on June/4th and no virus warning (that I have seen, maybe MSE updated itself). Anyway, I would run Malwarebytes too to be sure

    Boa sorte!
