Microsoft would have a record of the sale if you paid by CC, PayPal or check, plus your student email address as well. I would find the Microsoft contact # for Student Sales or Customer Service from the Microsoft website and call them on Monday.

Keep hitting 0 until you get to a real person. Alternatively, some systems sense anger (ie cursing, yelling) and bring you to a real person faster.

True, but you owe me the cost of dry cleaning. Mouthful of coffee on my pants now

It's Saturday and you probably will not solve it today, the codesystem works when it gives you a series of 25 characters in code then when you call Microsoft you enter the characters from the fields as requested and the automated system reads you a series of codes which you type in.

As has been said install Windows 7 and tell it activate later since you will have 30 days. Then find the Microsoft contact # for Student Sales or Customer Service from the Microsoft website and call them on Monday.

Yes. And cheaper to me; if he'd done that, I would have to pay his medical costs, including operation to fix his broken nose...

    hi,

I bought windows 7 pro-64 when it was released and I bought it as part of the student deal, which your probably aware of you receive the activation key via email. However, I recently formatted my PC and when I booted my system up, I had to re-activate win7 like always. The only problem is ive lost the email that had my product key in, any ideas how I can retrieve my product key?

    Thanks,

    Chap1400
When I installed Win 7, it put all my files in the Win.Old folder. I never lost my emails, they were in that folder. Give it a look.
