    Windows 7 Activation!

    hi,

I bought windows 7 pro-64 when it was released and I bought it as part of the student deal, which your probably aware of you receive the activation key via email. However, I recently formatted my PC and when I booted my system up, I had to re-activate win7 like always. The only problem is ive lost the email that had my product key in, any ideas how I can retrieve my product key?

    Thanks,

Are you sure you lost the email (deleted it)? You can try and email or call Microsoft about it.

Select activate later after install. Then once on installed desktop go to activate, and activate via phone explain to them not sure if they will do it that way but they should...

yea will you have to have it email to a student email address and stupidly i deleted a number of emails with out thinking because of the limited space on my college user.

Do you know what email address i can use to contact Microsoft about this?

There's no retailer. The deal is directly from Microsoft. I believe it was $30 for a copy of Windows 7 and they email you the key for it.
