Invalid key was good from 4/23 till 7/710

I purchased Windows 7 from Ebay, installed and activated with the product key provided. Now after 70 + days, it says inactive product key. I went online, and followed all their phone prompts, and they said invalid product key. I held on to see if I could get to a tech, but it disconnected.

Is there a way to go into the registry and enter it there? Why could I activate initially without any problems.

    Thanks,
    Bob

If I remember right, those were temporary keys for testing purposes. I can only hope that you did not pay too much for it because it is completely worthless now.

I do not know the technical reasons of how this happened, but I do know that most keys bought at substantial discounts from EBAY turn out to be a scam.

The question at this point is what can be done about it. Unfortunately, you have tried most of them, activation while online and phone activation. There is no magic way to enter an invalid key through the registry to make it work.

I will provide you with phone numbers to try, with the hope that you can get a rep. Others have reached a rep using these numbers. If it is a fraudlent key, do not expcect any satisfaction other than an, "Im sorry"

Numbers to call in an attempt to Activate
