    Windows 7 updates keep appearing?

As a few of you know I've been having problems with Windows 7 lately, and I had to go to a system restore point because my computer wouldn't start. Since then it's been okay, except for the fact that it's doing a few odd things, such as telling me I need to install these 7 (coincidence? :P) important updates, even though I've installed them a few different times before. I checked the updates history, but it says nothing about those 7 updates. Every time I install them or shutdown my computer and have it install them on it's own, I restart, and there it is again saying I need to install 7 important updates. Any help on the matter would be appreciated.

I have had to clear pending updates before. Try booting in safe mode and look for a directory something like C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. Delete them. Then go back and manage your updates from the Windows Update, selecting what you want, and showing history, as needs be.

Next time you are bothered with the notice, install them one at a time, yourself. If you have to restart, do so, and then be sure that it is installed.

Do what Rich Said, keep installing one by one and if an error pops up you know which update keeps causing the problem with it popping up

Sorry for another bump (I recently bumped one of my other threads), but I've been kind of busy, and I wanted to stop by to say that I tried installing them one by one and rebooted, and now suddenly it's working great. Not sure what happened, but either way, I appreciate the help from all of you greatly.
