    Dear All
I bought my sony vaio vpccw16fg on 25/12/09.Initially window was updating automatecally. But suddenly it stopped working. It started showing different kind of error like 80072ee2,80070643.I did not take any action. But on 17/7/10 I saw more updates available for installetion.I again tried to install all of them. Now I observed that few of them installed successfully but others not.Now almost one week passed. Those others are not getting installed although I have tried repeatedly. They are showing error like 80072ee2,80070643.I have tried after disabling window firewall, nod 32 antivirus. But no success.

The 80070643 error is fairly easy. It is a problem with your .Net framework installation. You can go here to read about it and fix it. Windows Update error 80070643

Could you kindly elaborate little bit.
How to window features turn on and off and Uncheck .Net Framework 3.5.
Is running .Net Cleanup Tool completely safe.I mean at the worst case, will my laptop stop working?
    Is the following a command
    a. fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\
    Or this one
    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\
    Similarly
    Is the following a command
Type: Cd c:\windows\System32\SMI\Store\Machine (Is Type incuded in the command?)
    What is the meaning of
Restart in Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Redo the steps above in BOLD. Some files still will not delete. That's fine.

    PLEASE PLEASE CLARIFY

Control Panel>>Programs and Features>>Turn Windows features on or off, find Net Framework 3.5 and uncheck it.

Of course not .This tool remove from your system non-native NET Framework versions -in Windows 7 it can remove only 1.0 and 4.0.If you don't have 1.0 or 4.0 version you can ignore this step

    Is the following a commantived
    a. fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\
    Or this one
    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\

Run cmd.exe with administrative previlliges (right click on cmd.exe as admin) and type:

    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\

next restart computer and run it in Safe Mode with Command Prompt

//what is "safe mode with command prompt" you can find here Advanced Boot Options //

    and type:

    cd %windir%\system32\config\txr

    press ENTER

    attrib -r -s -h *

    press ENTER

    del *

    press ENTER

    cd c:\windows\System32\SMI\Store\Machine

    press ENTER

    Attrib –a –h –s *.TM*

    press ENTER

next restart in Normal Mode and try install updates again

How can I know the version of .NET Framework ?How can I know if I ignore that step?
After typing cmd in the start I am getting a black window with name C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
Did you ask me type the following command here?
    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\
All the other steps are completely clear.
Please reply. After that I will start following your instructions.

Win 7 have build-in NET Framework 2.0 and 3.5.If you didn't install any NET Framework yourself that means you didn't have 1.0 and 4.0.If you don't remember, go to Control panel>>Programs and Features and check there you have other NET Fram or not.

After typing cmd in the start I am getting a black window with name C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
Did you ask me type the following command here?
    fsutil resource setautoreset true c:\
    Yes

    Dear Flavius

Yes.I have checked. It is Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1.
is not matching with 2.0,3.5,1.0, or 4.0.There is no other .NET Framework.
    May I ignore that step?

What about Microsoft Fix it 50202.My operating system is window 7 home premium 64 bit.It is written there 'Content in this article may not be relevant to you'.
Should I need to run it in aggresive mode before entering the commands suggested in your post '14 Hours Ago 10:01 AM'?

    I am a beginear.Please help me.
