    Just had a backup.

So, I was not able to boot Windows 7 anymore.
Neither in normal and safe mode.

Being lucky having a Samsung, which has this backup function (Creates an image of the PC when it was in the first state, when bought from the store).

Nothing else working I did the backup, and now I'm on Vista.
I was wondering should I stay on Vista? How is it improved, by means of compatibility and such.

Or should I just upgrade to Windows 7 again?
I still have my key, but no CD, so I can just download W7 again, which will take a while.

Also, how do I disable this annoying thing that warns me for every single thing I try to do?

I had both Vista and 7 and prefer 7. There are a lot more features that I enjoy which cannot be found on Vista; aero for example.
If I were you I would stay with 7.
This will answer your second question
User Account Control - UAC - Change Notification Settings

    Vista or Windows 7

Well, I don't really mind the Aero.

I'm more of a gamer/graphics guy so I don't really use any of the features Windows 7 includes.

Its just that I don't know how far the compatibility issue has been handled by Microsoft.

EDIT: Sorry, I just realized I hadn't thanked you for the solution for that allow/disallow thing, my apologies for that.

Bottom line, if you can use it with Vista you can use it with 7. I will never say always, but it is as close as it gets.

    Okay, thanks for the help.

I will try Vista for a week, if not good, I will switch back to 7.

I liked both, but prefer 7. There is no right or wrong. I think you are doing the smart thing. Stay with Vista, if not happy give 7 a try. What is best for me, may not be best for you.

Yeah, I just want to try all the things I did with 7.
I will see if they have fixed anything of the incompatibility issues.

I remember using Vista back in 2007, I gotta say, it was really buggy, slow, and had alot of issues, that wouldn't of been there in XP or any other OS.

And now I don't see anything of that back, so props to Microsoft for improving that little bit.
