Unwanted automatic restore at every reboot after fresh install of Win7

I just did a fresh install of Windows 7 pro x64. To make this work, I had to unplug all other hard drives in the case while doing the reinstall. I have a SSD drive for Windows and 2 other hard drives for files and programs.

After the fresh install, I installed a few drivers and everything was fine. Then I replugged the two other harddrives and went on to install more software and drivers. But after that it will always do an automatic system restore whenever I reboot. No prompts, no messages, no indication at all that it is reverting the system to a previous state. But all the changes I've done since last reboot are gone. I've authorized windows and get the message it is successful, after reboot it again shows as unauthorized. I install bitdefender AntiVirus, it is up and running, but after reboot it is gone. The whole installation folder is gone from Program Files. I install drivers which are up and running, but after reboot they are gone. No matter what I do, it is lost upon reboot.

Not sure if it has anything to do with the 2 extra hard drives. But it appears this problem started when I plugged them in.

    Any help appreciated!

Okay, seems this has nothing to do with system restore, but the hard drive is suffering from something called "SSD groundhog day" or "SSD time warp" syndrome. Apparently no cure for that, so I decided it's time to retire the drive and buy a new one. Hopefully it works better with the next install.

Thanks, but Windows is currently already installing on the new hard drive. The old one was a Kingston 64GB SSDnow that had served already 4-5 years, which apparently was screwed, based on what I could find about this issue. Probably a good idea to change to a slightly bigger system drive anyway.

Here's some previous discussion I found on this problem:
On reboot, all files revert to previous versions

I'm gonna mark this solved now, even though I couldn't find any better solution than to buy a new hard drive.
