Can I back up my Windows 7 key and Office 2010 key?

    Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to back up my Windows 7 64 bit ultimate product key and Microsoft office 2010 key?
Am going to format my HDD but I don't want to lose my keys.

    Thank you

    Hello,

I find that the best back up for your product keys is to write them down along with what they belong to, and keep them in a safe place to have when needed.

If you don't know what they are, then you might see if the tutorial below may be able to help find and see them.

    Hope this helps, :)

    Hey there Shawn,

Thanks for your replay! I should have written it down like you said but I got it a long time ago and lost it now. I will try that tutorial (Thank you for the link) and let you know how it works out!
However that tutorial does not cover how to back up Office key?

I did find this on the net How to Reinstall Windows Without Having to Reactivate and was wording what you thought about it?

    Thanks

OPTION FOUR will let you see what your Windows and Office key is to be able write them both down. :)

I don't trust or like backing up activation like that since it bypasses the normal method of activation. There's just no substitute for having your product keys written down.

Another option is Belarc advisor (Belarc - System Management For The Internet Age. Software license management, IT asset management, IT security audits and more.). It will list all your product keys and a lot more info about your system. Just store the Belarc output in a safe place.
