just had another bsod coming out of sleep. Nothing new in windows/minidump though. On the bottom of the blue screen it said

    collecting dump for crash dump...
    initializing disk for crash dump...

    and it froze there

As suggested by writhziden, I'll set up verifier to only work on 5 non-MS drivers at a time

This was caused by a system file. Disk Check with both boxes checked for all drives. If it comes up clean, run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker to check for system file corruption (this may have to run up to three times to fix all errors).

Were you able to determine which driver was causing your crashes when resuming from sleep?

Hey I am having the same problem. I have a fresh build with a corsair gt120gb ssd sata 3
that I loaded up windows on and then after fully loading window I installed my WD high rpm 1tb drive set up with all my file and the ssd has only OS. I had it going for a day and it came out of sleep fine then I loaded some software and today when i came home I had to wake it up by not jst shaking the mouse but hitting the keyboard (which I feel I didn't have to do yesterday upon coming home) and the network Ethernet icon had the blue loading circle around it, after a minute or two it bsod with 0x000000004 something then i turned it on in safe mode and then restarted it and it works fine?

To precursor to what has just happened
I built the computer about a year and a half ago i7 930 Asus P6x58D Premium 12gb obsidian black OCZ ram, HIS HD5770 video card asus DVD player, and then I had 64gb ADATA Sata 2 ssd, and the same I think its a caviar blue its the high rpm one 1tb hard drive and a few months into everything working fine I got a hang coming out of sleep then i got the bsod and it totally screwed up my ssd. I reloaded the os and started all over it was working fine for a few months then same thing again this happened four times until I got this new SSD
It could be my ram or a bios setting for the ram since it is 16000 or whatever mhz the bios is set to auto voltage and could need to be set to 1.65v manually but that is just a guess and after reading the above story it sounds exactly like that.

    What should I do

    Start by checking my mem

I am going to reread above and I think that last idea you gave may be the trick but any thoughts are appreciated

Please fill out your system specs by following the guide in System Info - See Your System Specs and also create a new thread by following the https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html and linking to this thread. We ask that you start a new thread since this one is old and the OP seems to be MIA. If you start your own thread, you will get more dedicated assistance and it will also help future users who stumble across your thread moreso than if you continued here.

    You can say something like:
My problem is similar to that posed in https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...no-longer.html and I would appreciate assistance.
Also, you may want to read the Quote: by usasma in post #5 of BSOD 0x000000f4 on Cold Boot Up regarding SSDs.

i was facing similar issues with my system (bugcheck/bsod on wake from sleep). took me a couple of days trying to pin down the error - ran memtest, seatools, chkdsk and other diagnostic tools but in the end managed to trace down the error to a faulty driver: microsoft's MSAHCI.SYS (6.1.7601.17514) - this driver has a known bug with large sata drives and wake from sleep bsods (cross-verified by installing windows on my trusty 2.5" 80gb sata hdd - which worked flawlessly with the stock msahci.sys driver!)

    solution:
installed intel RST (rapid storage tech) drivers and the problem was resolved.

    fyi my system specs:
    1. i3-2100
    2. intel bh67bl (h67 chipset rev b3)
    3. 4gb corsair 1600mhz certified ram running @ default speed of 1333mhz
    4. seagate 1tb 7200rpm hdd (ST1000DM003)

i hope this post helps anyone running high capacity sata drives in ahci mode (a bios setting) with windows 7 and experiencing wake from sleep bsods...

    best,
    vinit

Anyone know how to identify the culprit, like Vinit with MSAHCI.SYS?
