    You can:

    • Provide us a kernel dump (MEMORY.DMP in Windows directory). You'll need to zip it up and upload it to a 3rd-party site like Mirrorcreator.com.
    • Perform hardware tests:
      • RAM: Memtest86+ - 7+ passes (run overnight)
      • Disk: Seatools - Run the DOS version, all tests except Long.
    • Do a CHKDSK /R. Make sure to have it look for bad sectors too.
    • Do an SFC Scan. Do it from the Windows DVD, not from the drive.

I remember someone experiencing a problem quite like this a looooong time ago, so I don't remember what actually fixed it. I believe it had something to do with a firewall application like ZoneAlarm or some Antivirus. Uninstall any firewall application, and whatever antivirus app you have inform us what it is. You may wanna update it as well.

Hi, did you perform all the tests and fixes I recommended? As for Avira, try using an alternative antivirus like Microsoft Security Essentials, and if you have Zone Alarm, uninstall that.

Have you uninstalled Avira and testing stability there? Otherwise, I'm afraid that I'm rather stumped, primarily because the data we have right now isn't much. If you wish, you can turn on Driver Verifier again, let the system crash while it's on, and then send us the kernel dump from that crash. It's the large MEMORY.DMP file in Windows directory. Zip it up and upload to Mirrorcreator.com.

No, though it may mean either crashdumps aren't being made properly, or you have it set not to produce kernel dumps. Type "advanced system settings" in Start Menu then go to Startup & recovery and make sure that Kernel memory dump and not Small memory dump is selected.

I'm stumped, then. Without such data I'm not able to get very far on this diagnosis. If you still have yet to deal with Avira, uninstall it completely and test stability of the PC afterwards. It's the only item I've been particularly suspicious about. If it still ends up being unstable, then I cannot help you further on it without me actually being at the system to inspect it personally.
