Arc,

Just got a BSOD after running Driver Verifier for around 9 hours. Here's the .zip. Should I keep running verifier to try to get more? Thanks

This particular BSOD is caused by the display driver.

Install the NVIDIA DRIVERS 314.22WHQL only.

Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
- 3D Vision Control Driver
- 3D Vision Driver
- Graphics Driver
- HD Audio Driver
- PhysX
- nvidia Update
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Let us know for any other issue.

I went ahead and follow instructions on last post. I don't have sound anymore (My setup goes from the nvidia card via HDMI to a 5.1 stereo receiver then to my television), not sure if the HD sound driver I uninstalled had anything to do with that. In any case, here's the latest BSOD dump after following all instructions. Thanks for your continued help, Cheers!

BugCheck 24 is NTFS file system error, and it blames memory.
Uninstall uTorrent and see if it causes any more BSODs or not. Also scan the system for possible virus infection with the following programs, for a safety reason.

Ok, I'll go ahead and do that. Any idea as to why my sound isn't working? Is it safe to get the audio drivers back for nvidia?

You may use onboard Realtek audio for the sounds etc.

Arc,

Because I'm going through my stereo system via the NVIDIA card (it has a mini HDMI out), I have to use that HD-Audio driver. I can't really use the on board sound driver if I'm sending it to my TV. I do a fair amount of gaming. Unless you know a way around it somehow.

In any event, I un-installed uTorrent, and did the rootkit detectors and they didn't find anything. After uninstalling uTorrent I still had BSOD's so I re-installed, figuring it isn't the problem. Here are the latest dump files. Thanks for your eternal support on this issue, You're probably tired of hearing from me by now, lol. I really appreciate it. Cheers!

No mate. I am not tired, but worried.

The bugcheck codes and the probable causes are varying widely, over a long time. And no steps as per the data ends in a goal.

It is possible in the cases are ......
Faulty RAM.
Faulty Processor
Inefficient or fluctuating power supply.
Failing overclocking.
Bad motherboard.

I think you have taken the tests already, but if possible, do those once again.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Stress test the CPU.
Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

Set all the hardware clocks to default.

Apply a known good PSU on a test basis.

If all are good, you may need to change the board. As we cannot test the board, we cannot blame it.

Thanks for keeping up with me. I know I've done the RAM tests quite a bit and nothing came of them in the past. Same with the CPU. I'll run both tests over the next week or so and see if anything comes of them. The power supply should be fine as I originally started with a bad PSU and ended up replacing it. I'll keep doing all your recommendations and let you know if I hit on anything.

I worry that I probably won't hit on anything and it might be a bad CPU or mobo. :\ In any event, I can't thank you enough for all the help. Hats off to you, you really need a donation system here or some way to show appreciation! Lol. Take it easy and thanks again.

Arc, or anyone else,

Thanks right off the bat for the help, Arc. Sadly, over the past three years since this issue cropped up, it has continued. Every month the computer would BSOD almost 10 times in a row, typically for about one or two days. It just randomly BSOD'd for a few days. Then it'd be fine. I could write, play games, whatever. A month later the same thing. I figured this was acceptable enough and I just put up with it.

Now, about three years later, this computer started crashing for entire days. 20 BSOD's one after another for a full day. Then again the next day. It didnt BSOD in safemode (same as before) and I tried using restore points. Today it crashed from 8 AM - 5 PM or so. No idea why. This is the most stable it's been right now (running for an hour plus) I've tried to restore back to when it was only crashing once a month, but those dates aren't there. I really want to know what's wrong with this, as I'm losing a full day in work. Do you really this is the mobo? I've run all the old tests btw, memory, cpu, hard drive, etc.
